we forget they need You

Father, we come . . .


fearful we aren't who they need us to be.

fearful we won't reflect your love enough.

fearful we haven't learned from our own mistakes.

we want to fix them and create happy.

we want our love to heal their wounds that are deep.

we worry they will experience pain and disappointment.

we worry our togetherness will be abbreviated.

we worry so much we forget we are a big deal to them, as we are. 

widen our capacity to trust You for their life and their influence, as they are.

widen our acceptance that they need You, far more than us.
