Rest from the labor

On this Labor Day, may you find the courage within you to {choose} Rest.

From the fight to produce, and the shame of failure, and of your own humanity.

All of who you are is for purpose.

You were created with an aching for God alone. And though you seek others for approval and to feel not so alone, you will never rest until you sit at His feet and let Him simply be enough.

So stop chasing that dream with such a fierceness. And stop trying so hard to be some thing, or some one, or even to make a difference.

Just. Rest.

Let Him do the work He already has begun in you.

And in the labor that matters most -- the birthing of who He is within you -- might you find strength to endure.

For His story may glory be.
