quiet

There isn't much about specifics in my life lately.

Just a whole lot of rustling.

I typically long for detail, though these days I cozy up to big, vague ideas.

Nothing monumental or clear, or even anything that makes a bit of sense for today is among my thoughts.

Mostly it's dreamy, wildish, crazy, and perhaps not even real that fills my heart.

And meanwhile, my mind is mostly quiet.

It's a peace filled place. A speck of Heaven inside of me.

And there I'm reminded of who I am.

Today's post was part of my friend, Lisa-Jo's fun challenge each Friday to take five and Just. Write.

"...for five, short, bold beautiful minutes... unscripted and unedited...
without worrying if it's just right or not."

  3. I am really encouraged by how you can find a peace and quiet rest in the midst of big, vague ideas. Like you, I love the details! As I am waiting for more of God's plans to be revealed in my life, I will take your words to heart. LOVE that we can relax into the quiet waiting. Thank you for sharing!

  5. Love this... as one who is often overwhelmed by the details (finding them, knowing them, and doing them!) I love that you are finding quiet and peace in the vague! It's in the vague that the dreamy and wild can simmer awhile... the details will come and when we rest in that and simply wait, the vision is that much clearer! Blessings!
