Live Strong

Cancer is a hard fight.

Some people succumb to it, and others overcome it.
Either way, both have an opportunity to grow from it.

It's one of the toughest struggles we can imagine. So many of us know someone who has battled it, or who is facing it.

And so, when we see those yellow bracelets, we are inspired by their fight.

Piano learning and hockey playing aren't quite as monumental.
Nose wiping and scheduling keeping seems trite when we compared.

Still, though, a challenge is a fight--no matter the size.

Growing hurts--whether we're 7 or 37.

We know this truth.
We believe it in our heart.
And yet, we can't seem to live as though it is truth.

In the hustle and bustle of preparing for Christmas, the *whirl and twirl* of life can seem overwhelming.

We long for quiet and rest. Slow and calm.

Marriages are tugged at a little harder this time of year. Ragged around the edges we come 'round the Christmas tree, hand over gifts to each other, and bite our lip over what we remember saying just a day ago.

Children are excited for presents and our fretting over their list becomes evidently pointless. They choose happiness instead of bitterness.

If only we could just Live. Strong.
--no matter the challenges we face.

Whether we're learning a new talent and giving courage a try with a willing yes, choosing the strength He gives us makes all the difference.

So, don't give up.

No matter what, don't give up.

Keep fighting.
Keep living.
Keep reaching for Him.

In the process of living the challenge, you'll grow.
     And you'll See purpose.
          You'll know Him more.

Whether you're facing the holidays with one person missing around your tree, or your bank account is in the red, your marriage has been dissolved, or your masterpiece just went kerplunk...

Keep. On.

Trust there is still purpose. Even in this struggle you face--

     ...the music memorizing...
          ...the marriage keeping...
               ...the medicine taking...
                    ...the memory allowing...
                         ...the moment receiving...

All. Is. For. Purpose.
