wide

I've longed for freedom.

Skies big and land vast.

Fresh. New. Different.

Quiet and still.

Beauty. From. Dark.

He's doing it in me, instead.

Making my heart wide.

My trust wider.

My faith wider still.

I'm in awe of this remarkable Grace with her ponytail flopping and freedom cascading.

His love really is wide.

     ...wider than the doubt.

     ...wider still than the fear.

...and wider beyond I can even fully See.

Today's post was part of my friend, Lisa-Jo's fun challenge each Friday to

"Write for five, short, bold beautiful minutes...
     Unscripted and unedited...
Without worrying if it's just right or not."

...where, community comes together and shares how He used their five minutes on the same topic.
It's neat stuff and most especially, such evidence of our uniqueness and His awesomeness.

  1. Oh Amy! Your writing is beautiful. I loved reading your verse and my favorite line was how you described grace as a young girl with a ponytail -- "I'm in awe of this remarkable Grace with her ponytail flopping and freedom cascading." Beautiful.

  4. Pretty words here. (That longing for wide open spaces? It sounds like you should spend a few days in Nebraska.)
