with all the storms in this world and all the dangers they face, we pray you keep them safe.
with all the shoulds in their way and all the demands they face, we pray you keep them sane.
with all the spitefulness in their will and all the dares they face, we pray you keep them steady.
loose our fears to love them.
pining for control, we confess we try to rule them.
pining for control, we confess we try to reign them.
pining for control, we confess we try to regulate them.
loose us to love them.
with all our tightened fingers, we come.
with all our tightened muscles, we come.
with all our tightened plans, we come.
loose our convictions to love them.
may we sprinkle joy in all our days.
may we sprinkle life in all we say.
